SC Paderborn 07 e.V., or simply SC Paderborn or SCP, is a registered sports club from Paderborn in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region of North Rhine-Westphalia. Today’s SC Paderborn 07 only came into being in 1985 - though under the name TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus. It was formed by a merger between TuS Schloß Neuhaus and 1. FC Paderborn.

Both of those clubs were themselves already products of earlier mergers.

The first predecessor club was founded in 1907. On 14 August 1907, 20 football aficionados from East Westphalia founded Fußballverein Arminia Neuhaus - the first football club in the district of Paderborn. That club became one of the four roots or building blocks of today’s SC Paderborn 07 e.V. The other three original clubs from which the current SC 07 emerged, directly or indirectly, were FC Preußen Paderborn, founded in 1908, SV 07 Neuhaus, founded in 1907, and TuS Sennelager, founded in 1910.

Up to 2005, SC Paderborn spent its entire existence in amateur football. It played no major role in German football. In the 2019/20 season, the club was playing only its second Bundesliga campaign. The first had come in 2014/15.

The football business is run by SC Paderborn 07 GmbH & Co. KGaA, whose limited partner is SC Paderborn 07 e.V., while the general partner is SC Paderborn 07 Management GmbH, itself wholly owned by the registered club.
